Lets go crazy

As prince once said, lets go crazy people! I have never fully understood the taboo surrounding mental health and believe that to live a full and happy life this subject should be placed in a spotlight and talked about it with friends and family to make sure we as humans are not supressing our feelings by acting happy, sad or funny just becuase we think we should be feeling this way. I grew up in a household that was very open about mental health and the need to express our emotions and feel how we feel regardless of our situation. If we feel like swaddling ourselves in a blanket, not wearing pants for days on end and eating like a pigion, then I think it should be done.
Listen to what your body is telling you and never demand more than what you can give people or yourself. In saying this, there have been times I myself have not delt with my feelings, and I can say from these experiences that eventually these emotions will snowball into an unmanageable anxiety driven feeling. There is and will be no immediate cure for this feeling, but if you deal with issues immediately there is a possibilty of stopping the feeling and getting past it. Sometimes facing up to problems is truely the hardest thing we as humans can do, although avoiding them can lead to emotional suffocation, wich alcohol, cigarettes and drugs will not satisfy.
That is not to say these things arent fun, I will happily use these to further get enjoyment out of this average life. The comedown of these socially accepted drugs will only fuel the feelings of anxiety and depression. Create a happy space for yourself and keep the people that support and love you close.
